Unveiling the Inspiration Behind Trebbianno’s Music

I’m Trebbianno. So I derived that name from my last name, Grape. Trebbianno is an italian wine and my friends call me Ubas and wine is made out of Grapes.

I’ve been a music servant since I was a kid, but I took it on a next level last 2020 when the pandemic hits.

I’ve been writing some music here and there and performing in various events such as music fest, kpop events, busking, and local community gigs.

How has your background as a music servant since childhood influenced your music style and career path?

Well my music style changes as time goes by, I was influenced by ballad before I transitioned my genre to dream pop. And I don’t see this as “career” but more of a “sharing life and love” to others.

What inspires you the most when writing music, and can you share a bit about your creative process?

Being alive and witness the beauty of life always inspire me.

As for the creative process, I always write one-liners as much as I can before the day ends. So I have these pieces that I can pick every time art block happens.

And just to share with you, it’s been 8yrs since I wrote a material that’s dedicated to a specific person.

In what ways did the pandemic in 2020 impact your music career, and how did you adapt to the changing circumstances?

Pandemic really opened opportunities for me, specifically on online events.  I was once invited to an online music fest with indie artists around the Philippines and sharing the stage with big names such as Arthur Nery, Janine Tenoso and Adie.

Can you share a memorable or challenging moment from your music journey that has had a significant impact on you?

When one of my mentors passed away last 2021. It really tore me into pieces. And I really don’t know where to start, but as He mentioned before.

Sharing life with others will never be a waste of my time. So I took that and still doing what I have started.

That for me is the most memorable part of this journey, as it helped me grow and let myself become me.

Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you are excited about and would like to share with your fans?

I do have an upcoming album this year called “Ethereal“. It is a compilation of sorrows and love and letting everyone know that we can be vulnerable as much as we want to, and that is totally okay. It consists of 7 songs, and all of the titles are related to celestial bodies. So this is for Astrophile fans out there!

Lastly, what advice would you give to aspiring musicians who are looking to pursue a career in the music industry based on your own experiences?

Be authentic as much as you can. Be yourself, be one of a kind.

Thank you very much to Trebbianno for sharing some photos and video clips of his performance.
