Hello! My name is Tomomi! I have been a shy kpop fan since 2016, but when I entered the kpop community, I was active since 2018. My main groups are TWICE, fromis_9, and Seventeen. Also just a TMI, I have been a Jihyo cosplayer ever since I joined a dance cover group named TwirlyPop, wherein I portray Jihyo as well, and I do really have fun portraying her and doing inspired outfits for her.
Not just Jihyo, but as of the moment, I always do inspired outfits of the former Fromis_9 member Jang Gyuri as well! And aside from K-Pop, I just recently became a bloom and support BINI, and Maloi is my favorite member of their group. I’m planning to do an inspired outfit for her soon if I’m given the opportunity.
Can you tell us more about your journey as a shy K-pop stan and how you became more active in the K-pop community since 2018?
Honestly, I used to be a fan of J-pop back in my high school days. However, everything changed when I met my friend, who happens to be an ARMY (the fandom name of BTS). She encouraged me to give their songs a listen. encouraged me to give their songs a listen. Surprisingly, I became hooked, and my bias is now Namjoon, also known as RM. It’s quite amusing how I used to despise them, but now I’m a devoted fan of this K-pop group. Time really does fly.
In 2018, a friend of mine, who was once a member of Twirlypop, invited me to join a K-pop dance cover. Ever since then, I’ve been actively participating in K-pop activities, such as dance covers and creating K-pop-inspired outfits.
How do you see yourself incorporating your love for K-pop and cosplay into your future endeavors or projects?
I just want to enjoy things that I enjoy, especially when I’m doing them. Not just do I want to, but I also want to have fun interacting with some K-pop stars who recognize me whenever I’m at the event and hoping to be in a K-pop group one time. Or a P-pop group, I guess? Who knows? I just want to do my passion while having fun at it.
Could you share with us the process of creating inspired outfits for Jihyo and Jang Gyuri? What inspires your designs?
Actually, at first, I struggled with how I would find someone who could create some inspired outfits of Jihyo and Gyuri because I am a plus size, but apparently I have trusted the tailor who is making them, and in addition to that, I see myself losing some weight, which is why I can now buy some outfits that can be purchased at some shops.

Finally, is there anything you would like to promote?
