I am Eshie and I have been doing K-pop covers since 2010. This year, I decided to stop doing covers to focus on my crochet business.
How did you get started with doing K-pop covers back in 2010?
I was a 3rd year high school student at UP High School in Cebu, and my classmates were kpop fans as well, so we decided to form a group.

What motivated you to continue doing K-pop covers for so many years?
My motivation is my fondness for K-pop music and their great choreographies. Aside from that, performing dance covers made me meet lots of new people and new friends as well.

Can you share some memorable experiences or highlights from your time doing K-pop covers?
The most memorable experience would be the first ever contest that my high school friends and I joined at Ayala Terraces, and we won 1st runner-up.
How did you discover your passion for crochet and decide to focus on it as a business?
I see TikTok videos about crochet clothes and other items, and I always thought that it was a hobby I wanted to try. I started doing it for fun and posted my earlier works. I wasn’t planning on selling it, but people wanted to buy it from me, so I sold it. The profit from the crochet items I sell helped me try a whole variety of yarns, increasing my crochet skills.

What are your goals and aspirations for your crochet business in the future?
I launched my business six months ago, and it has grown so much since then. My shop has booths at five different events now, and all of them were successful. My goal is to grow my business even more by attending more events, meeting other business owners, and inspiring other people with my handmade creations.
