Prepare for a fun, insightful look into the world of KATCHA!
KATCHA’s name has a captivating meaning. How does this meaning resonate with your group’s identity and musical style? Does it influence your stage presence or interactions with fans?
– The name “KATCHA” comes from “Catch ya,” which means “Got you!” But for us, it’s not about chasing after people. It’s more like setting a clever trap using our individual charms and energy. Each of us brings something unique, and when we come together, it’s like we naturally attract people without even trying. Once you’re drawn in, you’ll realize that maybe… we caught you on purpose all along. Finally, we catch you! 💫
This idea really shapes how we perform on stage and connect with fans. We don’t force things. We just be ourselves, and that authenticity becomes our strength. Whether it’s through our music, dance, or even just eye contact, we want people to feel something real when they see us.
The T-Pop scene is known for its diverse musical styles. How would you describe KATCHA’s unique sound and what influences have shaped your musical direction? Are there any specific Thai musical elements you incorporate into your songs?
Our debut song blends Pop-EDM with nostalgic sounds from over a decade ago. It’s fun, upbeat, and full of energy. But we didn’t stop there. We added subtle touches of traditional Thai elements like certain instruments or rhythms to give it a unique flavor. It’s not in-your-face, but if you listen closely, you’ll catch those little cultural details that make the track feel familiar in a fresh way. We’re inspired by both international pop and our own roots, and we love finding creative ways to mix them.

Many T-Pop groups incorporate elements of Thai dance and traditional aesthetics into their performances. How does Thai culture influence your choreography, costumes, or overall stage presence?
For our debut, everything from choreography to costumes is built around the concept of the song, and yes, there’s definitely some inspiration from Thai culture in there. Not necessarily in a traditional or obvious way, but more in the attitude, grace, and elegance that Thai art often embodies. We love taking those ideas and giving them a modern twist, so our performances feel both rooted and current. We want our shows to reflect who we are: proud of where we come from, but always pushing forward creatively.

What are some of the challenges and rewards of being a T-Pop girl group in Thailand? How does the Thai music industry differ from other music scenes you may be familiar with?
T-Pop is really gaining momentum right now, and we’re happy to see the industry becoming more open. There are more opportunities for new artists to show their potential. But at the same time, because the scene is growing so fast, the competition is tough too. One of the biggest challenges for us is constantly improving ourselves and figuring out how to reach people who might not usually listen to T-Pop.
What we love about the Thai music industry is how it embraces individuality and diversity whether it’s musical style, gender, or image. Artists are free to express themselves, and there’s a special charm in the way Thai lyrics play with beautiful language and rhyme. That’s something really unique about Thai pop music.
What are some of your favorite Thai songs or artists that have inspired you? How do you hope to contribute to the evolution of T-Pop?
We honestly admire a lot of Thai artists like Pixxie, Jeff Satur, Violette Wautier, and Phum Viphurit. Each of them has such a unique style whether it’s musical diversity, strong stage presence, or distinct individuality. They inspire us to keep improving and finding our own voices as artists.
As a new group, we want to contribute to the growth of T-Pop through our work. Our goal is to create quality music and performances that tell meaningful stories, and to make people feel something when they listen to us. We also hope to help T-Pop reach a wider audience not just in Thailand, but internationally too.

What is the most memorable experience you’ve had as a group so far? What are some of the most significant milestones you’ve achieved?
One of the most memorable moments for us was the day our debut lineup was announced. It was something we had all worked so hard for competing, learning, and constantly proving ourselves. Seeing all six of our names together made us feel incredibly proud and emotional.
Another special part was simply getting to spend time together as six members doing activities, brainstorming ideas, or just hanging out. Since we came from different paths and didn’t always get to work together during the show, these shared moments helped us bond and grow closer as a team.
A big milestone for us was definitely our first stage performance as a group. We gave it our all, and the response was amazing. One of our TikTok clips from that performance even went viral, which gave us a real boost of confidence. It made us believe even more that our group has something special to offer.

What are your short-term and long-term goals as a group? Where do you see KATCHA in the next few years? What kind of impact do you hope to have on the Thai music scene?
Our short-term goal right now is to make KATCHA more recognized. We want people to hear our songs and go, “Oh, that’s KATCHA!” It would be amazing if our friends could sing along when they hear just one line. Most of all, we want our music to make people feel happy, energized, and like they’re hanging out with their best girlfriends.
Looking ahead, our long-term dream is to have our own big concert, to grow as a group, and to become well-known not just in Thailand but across Asia. We hope KATCHA becomes a group that can turn music into a full-time career, something sustainable and meaningful for all of us.
All six of us are in our twenties, and we want to show the power of women through different sides of “sexy.” Our concept of sexy isn’t just about image. It’s about confidence, individuality, and inner strength. We want to present those different dimensions and inspire others by being unapologetically ourselves. That’s how we hope to make an impact in the Thai music scene.

What message do you want to convey to your fans and the wider audience through your music and performances? What kind of connection do you hope to establish with your listeners?
We want our fans and audiences to feel like they’re hanging out with their favorite girlfriends when they see or listen to KATCHA. Our goal is to bring fun, sass, and confidence through our music like a boost of energy that lifts you up and makes you want to dance, flip your hair, and feel free to be yourself.
We hope our songs become a safe space for people in a place they can turn to when they need a little joy or support. Whether you’ve had a good day or a tough one, we want KATCHA to be the soundtrack that makes things better.
Teamwork is also something we really value. Even though our schedules don’t always align, we believe in moving forward together and never leaving anyone behind. And that’s the kind of connection we want to build with our audience too: something real, supportive, and empowering.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned as a group during your journey so far? What are some valuable lessons you’ve gained from your experiences?
The most important thing we’ve learned from working together as a group is understanding and supporting each other. We all come from different backgrounds, so being part of the same team meant we had to adapt, open up, and really learn how to listen.
We’re lucky that we can talk to each other honestly, share how we feel, and still keep things professional when it comes to getting the job done. It’s a balance caring about each other’s feelings while still pushing forward as a team.
Another valuable lesson is the power of teamwork. We always say we won’t leave anyone behind. Even when our schedules don’t align perfectly, we make the effort to stay connected, check in with each other, and support one another. Because at the end of the day, we’re in this together.
How do you balance your personal lives with the demands of being a T-Pop group? What are some ways you maintain your well-being and manage the pressures of the industry?
– Since KATCHA is a new girl group from a small label, we all still have to balance personal jobs and our training schedule. Most of our practices start after 6 PM and go late into the night. It’s definitely tiring at times, but we’re committed because we know this is what we love and what we chose.
One thing that helps us stay grounded is setting clear boundaries knowing when we’re artists and when we’re just being ourselves. That helps us manage both our time and emotions better.
As for mental health, everyone has their own way. Some of us just cry it out when we feel overwhelmed (and that’s okay!), while others try to see pressure as a push to grow. One thing we all agree on is that we’re in this together. No matter how hard it gets, we’ve got each other’s backs and that support makes all the difference.
If you could collaborate with any Thai artist or international artist, who would it be and why?
– If we could choose, there are so many artists we’d love to collaborate with both Thai and international! In Thailand, we really admire Benz Khaokwan. She’s got this amazing mix of charm, sexiness, and playful energy, and she totally owns every performance. We’d also love to work with Pixxie they’ve crafted such unique characters for each member and always keep the audience excited.
On the international side, BTS is a huge inspiration for many of us. Watching them grow from the ground up to global icons has given us so much motivation. Their passion, attitude, and powerful performances are everything we look up to. And we’d also love to work with Billie Eilish someday. Cause her vibe, her authenticity, and her music just hit differently. She’s so cool, and we’d be thrilled to collaborate with someone like her.
What’s your favorite Thai dish to eat after a long day of rehearsals or performances?
After practice or performing, we usually get super hungry but we also try to be mindful about what we eat. On most days, it’s something light like boiled eggs and chocolate protein milk.
But honestly… if we’re talking favorites? Definitely Som Tum (Papaya Salad)! Some of us also love Pad Thai, Chicken Sukiyaki, or Pad Ka Prao (Stir-fried basil with a runny fried egg) Basically, anything spicy or flavorful that hits the spot especially after a long day. Add a bit of chili or fish sauce and we’re happy!
What’s one Thai word or phrase that best describes your group’s personality or dynamic?
If we had to pick a Thai phrase that best represents KATCHA, we’d go with “She serves!”, “Main character energy 2025”, and “Pʉng!”
“She serves!” is the vibe we go for on stage serving looks, energy, and confidence. “Main character 2025” reflects our bold, fearless spirit as a new-gen girl group ready to shine. And “Pʉng!” is like the sound effect in our heads when something slays like a great performance or a killer outfit. Just… Pʉng! 💥
