Today, we have the pleasure of introducing you to DIAZ (디아즈), a dynamic pre-debut K-Pop group under EZ Entertainment. Formed on December 24, 2024, DIAZ—consisting of Donghyuk, Haruki, Mingun, Sinwoo, Jeongho, and Rion—is already making waves with their unique blend of talent and determination. The group name, inspired by ‘the odds,’ reflects their journey and commitment to their fans.

DIAZ has been actively engaging with audiences, particularly in Japan, since April 3, 2025, and anticipation is building for the official release of their pre-debut single, “Jealousy.” Each member brings a unique flavor to the group, promising a vibrant future in the K-Pop scene.

Join us as we delve into the personalities, aspirations, and dreams of these six rising stars. Let’s get to know DIAZ!

DIAZ officially debuted in December 2024 and began activities in Japan in April 2025. How did you feel during your debut? What are DIAZ’s goals?

We were still very inexperienced when we first stepped on stage, and we started with four members. At first, we worried, “Will we make it?” But instead of dwelling on doubts, we focused on improving, practicing daily, and identifying our weaknesses. Debuting felt thrilling and joyful because we could finally show our hard work to fans. Our first stage in front of fans remains an unforgettable moment! Our ultimate goal is to promote globally. Starting in Japan, we aim to debut officially in Korea, tour overseas, and chart on music rankings.

Your pre-debut single “Jealousy” hasn’t been officially released yet. What can you share about it? What’s the vibe of the song?

Jealousy” is DIAZ’s original song, capturing the cute, playful emotions of wanting someone to like you, born from jealousy. It matches the members’ bright image perfectly. The choreography was created by member Jungho, making it even more special to us.

DIAZ” sounds similar to “the odds.” How does this concept reflect the group’s journey and aspirations? How do the members embody it?

“The odds” implies uncertainty about the future, but DIAZ embraces this uncertainty, turning it into our own color and finding possibility within it. On stage, we showcase bold, challenging energy while staying humble and diligent—more than any other team.

What was your first promotional activity in Japan? What’s the biggest challenge now?

Our first promotion in Japan was handing out flyers before performances. Initially, we felt shy and worried that people might reject them, but now we confidently promote DIAZ. The biggest challenge is limited opportunities for in-person promotions during summer.

How do you support each other in DIAZ? How do you resolve conflicts?

Working abroad, we’re each other’s biggest supporters—cheering and encouraging one another. While we sometimes clash over creative differences, open communication keeps us aligned toward our shared goals.

Individual Strengths: What is your role in DIAZ, and what unique strengths do you bring?

– Donghyuk (Leader): As the oldest, I listen to members’ concerns and uplift the team with my bright personality.

– Haruki (Japanese Member): I bridge Japanese fans and members through translation and MC roles.

– Mingun (Main Vocalist): I lead vocals and encourage honest feedback for growth.

– Shinwoo (Motivator): I’m passionate and inspire those around me.

– Jungho (Dance Leader): I lead choreography, teaching and refining moves with members.

– Leon (Team Bonding): I deepen trust and harmony within the group.

Where do you see DIAZ in 5 years? What music/image do you want to pursue?

In 5 years, we hope to debut in Korea, tour globally, and chart internationally. We aim to master diverse concepts—bright, dark, and everything in between—to become versatile artists.
