Global P-pop group FINIX releases their newest single and music film, “Thanks for the Rain,” a heartfelt anthem dedicated to the countless Filipino families affected by flooding and the systemic failures that allow tragedy to repeat. The release marks Chapter 2 of their ongoing ARHIVE_404: The First Fragment series – a cinematic, self-directed anthology blending art, activism, and narrative storytelling.
The song tells the story of a young girl who loses her family to a flood but finds refuge in imagination and music – a reflection of the resilience found across communities hit hardest by loss. While the song carries a warm, hopeful tone, its message is clear: survival should not be mistaken for acceptance.

We wanted to create something that gives comfort, but also demands change,This isn’t just a song about loss, it’s a story about the people left behind, and what it means to keep going when the world keeps turning away – says Aki, leader of FINIX
The group uses its platform to challenge inequality, mental health stigma, the oversexualization of women, and now – corruption itself. They are unafraid to question systems that fail their people, and continue to prove that real art doesn’t exist in silence.
Beyond its emotional storytelling, “Thanks for the Rain” cements FINIX’s voice as one of this generation’s most socially conscious acts. The group uses its platform to challenge inequality, mental health stigma, the oversexualization of women, and now – corruption itself. They are unafraid to question systems that fail their people, and continue to prove that real art doesn’t exist in silence.
Their advocacy extends beyond the stage, inspiring fans to think critically and act compassionately. For FINIX and their growing community of “Embers,” music is not just an escape. It is a revolution built on empathy and truth.
GKD Records CEO Joshua Stephany adds, “FINIX represents the kind of artistry we believe in: fearless, compassionate, and unafraid to speak truth to power. Our mission has always been to give artists full freedom to create without fear of censorship or compromise. ‘Thanks for the Rain’ is proof that music can be both empathy and action.”
All music video proceeds will be donated to the Philippine Red Cross to support ongoing flood relief and rehabilitation efforts. Fans are encouraged to donate directly using the link provided in the video description, joining FINIX in standing with those fighting for accountability and real change.
With “Thanks for the Rain,” FINIX reaffirms their commitment to turn music into true movement, reminding audiences everywhere that the stories we sing can still spark the change we need to see.
