With their journey just unfolding, the group carries a sense of excitement and potential as they step forward into the spotlight.
In this interview, we get to know VIVID—their beginnings, their identity as a group, and the vision they hope to share with the P-POP community.
Can you introduce VIVID to readers who are discovering you for the first time?
VIVID is a PPOP girl group of four members: Vivid Claire, Vivid Chin, Vivid Camila, and Vivid Via.
We bring bright energy, confidence, and creativity through our music, showing our true selves while inspiring others to believe in themselves and enjoy the journey of chasing their dreams.
What does the name “VIVID” represent for the group?
The name VIVID represents color, energy, and being true to ourselves. It reflects our bright personalities, strong emotions, and clear dreams. Each member brings her own unique charm, and together we create a lively and meaningful group.
VIVID also reminds us to stay genuine and share positive energy with everyone who supports us.
How did the group come together, and what was your journey before debut?
VIVID came together after we were scouted by a music producer who had a vision of forming a P-pop girl group. The first members were Camila and Via. In the beginning, the group went through many changes, with different members joining and leaving as the team was still finding the right people to complete the group.
After about two years, Chin joined, bringing new energy and passion. Later on, Claire became the final member, completing VIVID and making the group what it is today.
Before debuting, each of us was already working hard to follow our dreams.
Camila has been studying and exploring different areas of entertainment. Via has been studying while also training with a hip-hop dance group. Chin is studying as well and is part of both a K-pop dance cover group and a hip-hop dance group.
Claire has been joining singing competitions while continuing her studies. All of these experiences shaped us as individuals and helped us grow.
When we finally came together as VIVID, we realized that our different journeys made us stronger as a group. Our story reminds us that every step, every challenge, and every experience is part of the path that leads us closer to our dreams.
How would you describe VIVID’s music style and concept in three words?
VIVID’s music style and concept can be described in three words: confident, bold, and empowering.
True to our name, our PPOP music is full of energy and positivity, inspiring fans to embrace who they are. Through catchy melodies and dynamic performances, we encourage listeners to express themselves freely, stand strong, and celebrate their individuality showing the vivid spirit of our group.
What makes VIVID different from other P-Pop girl groups in the Philippines?
What makes us different is that each of us has our own unique qualities and personalities, which come together to create something special as a group. Our performances are always bright, colorful, and full of life, with every song and dance that we showcase on every stage.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the story behind it?
Our latest single is called ‘Redflags’, and it’s all about those signs in a relationship that make you realize someone isn’t really worthy of the love and effort you gave.
The song has catchy beats and lyrics that so many people can totally relate to.
What is your creative process like when preparing for a comeback or performance?
When we’re preparing for our comeback, we usually start by brainstorming and sharing different ideas with each other. Then we begin training for our choreography and practicing our vocals so we can perform it well.
After rehearsals, we also give each other feedback so we can improve and build on our strengths. It really helps us grow not only as performers but also as a group.
How do you train and prepare for intense choreography and live stages?
Training for intense choreography and live stages takes a lot of discipline and hard work. We practice the choreography step by step so that everyone becomes synchronized with the movements. We repeat the dance many times until our timing and energy are balanced.
After our group training, we also practice our parts individually. We often rehearse in front of the mirror to check movements and especially our facial expressions so that we can deliver the right emotions during the performance. This helps us improve our stage presence and confidence.

Who are your biggest musical influences – local or international?
One of our biggest local influences is Sarah Geronimo. We really admire her stage presence, versatility, and how she keeps evolving as an artist. She’s definitely someone we look up to in the Philippine music industry.
Internationally, we’re inspired by a lot of different K-pop idol groups, but the group that influenced us the most is Blackpink. We love their confidence, powerful performances, and how each member has their own unique style while still being strong as a group.
What has been the most challenging moment for VIVID so far?
The most challenging moment for us was learning how to truly become one as a group. We all come from different backgrounds, so at first it wasn’t easy for us to adjust to each other.
During training, we had to make sure our movements were synchronized and that we worked as one team, not just in performances but also in the decisions we make together. It took time and a lot of effort, but we’re really happy and proud that we were able to grow closer and become one as a group.
Is there a particular performance that felt like a turning point for the group
For us, the biggest turning point was our very first performance as a group at Adamson University. We were invited to perform as part of the pre-show, and honestly, we didn’t expect the kind of feedback we received from the audience. The support and energy from the crowd meant so much to us.
After that performance, we were regularly included in the lineup for the PPOP Music and Culture Caravan’s campus tours. That moment really felt like the start of everything for us. So many opportunities and blessings came in after that, and it opened more doors for the group.
We’re very, very grateful to the PPOP Music and Culture Caravan for giving us that opportunity. It’s something we’ll always look back on as the moment when things truly started moving forward for us as a group.
How do you connect with your fans, and what do they mean to you?
We connect with our fans by always trying to be genuine and open with them. Whether it’s through our performances, or simple interactions, we want them to feel that they’re part of everything we do as VIVID.
For us, they mean everything. We always remind ourselves that we’re here because of them, and their support is what keeps us going every day.
Seeing how much they believe in us gives us the strength to keep working harder and improving.
Over time, they’ve become more than just fans—they’ve become part of our lives and our journey as VIVID. We’re really grateful because even from the very beginning, they’ve been there supporting us every step of the way.
What message do you hope listeners take away from your music?
Our released songs are generally of different genres so we hope the listeners take the lesson that it is okay to take risks, experiment and learn to not be afraid to try new things. But for our debut song that will be release soon, we wish that the listeners would be uplifted and encouraged to go out of their comfort zone.
Now’s the perfect time to discover their journey, their music, and their story. Don’t miss out—follow and support VIVID as they make their mark on the P-pop scene.
