Japanese singer Nanao has officially joined KDR Music House, marking a new chapter in her growing connection with Filipino audiences. The partnership between JFK Music, KDR Music House, and Wish 107.5 strengthens cultural exchange between Japan and the Philippines
through music.
Nanao first gained attention from Filipinos through her heartfelt OPM covers
shared online, where her performances reflected both vocal depth and
genuine appreciation for Filipino music. “Filipino is a little bit similar to
Japanese, and that’s what made me interested in the language,” she shares.
“When I come to the Philippines, people always smile and greet me—I love
the warm hearts here, and I want to thank Filipinos through my songs.”
Her commitment to OPM goes beyond interpretation. Nanao studies each
song closely, translating lyrics into Japanese to fully capture their emotional
core. Among her most notable covers are songs by SB19 and TJ Monterde.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision between the two labels. KDR Music
House Operations Director Arnold Sanchez says, “We are incredibly excited
about our partnership with JFK and truly look forward to what we can achieve
together. We believe this collaboration will create meaningful opportunities
and be highly beneficial in promoting music across both the Philippines and
Japan.”
On Nanao joining the label’s roster, Sanchez adds, “We are thrilled to
welcome Nanao as one of the artists of KDR Music House. We are confident
that her music will connect with Filipino audiences, and we strongly believe
she has the potential to become a major and influential presence in the music
industry.”
JFK Music CEO Kenkoh Furukawa also shared his enthusiasm for the
partnership. “It feels like a challenge, and I’m excited to take it on with KDR
Music House. We’re preparing new music that blends Japanese taste with
Filipino sound, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it through Nanao.”
Fans can expect new releases from Nanao this year, featuring Tagalog lyrics,
Japanese-inspired melodies, and the energetic flair of J-Pop. With the support
of KDR Music House and its partner platforms, Nanao is poised to deliver a
fresh cross-cultural sound to Filipino listeners.
