Idol group YOUR ADVISORY BOARD (commonly known as Yuaado), which continues to expand its activities both in Japan and overseas while placing great importance on musical expression and live performances, released a cover of Tornado Tatsumaki’s 2005 love song “Kotoba no Sukima” (The Space Between Words) on September 2. The song marks the debut release of the group’s new lineup.
Junichi Soga of Tornado Tatsumaki, who wrote, composed, and arranged the original track, has said that when creating the song, he wanted to explore how far he could push himself musically through straightforward, easily understood expressions rather than relying on complexity.
Between “lonely” and “afraid.”
Between “bittersweet” and “painful.”
There are emotions that cannot be fully expressed with a single word. “Kotoba no Sukima” captures these unnamed feelings—the emotions that exist between words—and the desire to convey those feelings to someone despite being unable to put them into words.

Now, approximately 21 years after the original song was released, Junichi Soga himself has created a new track for 2026, preserving the charm of the original while incorporating a contemporary touch. The mix was handled by Taro Kohata of avengers in sci-fi, who has supported most of YOUR ADVISORY BOARD’s sound since the group’s debut.
The unnamed emotions left behind in the spaces between words.
Across generations, the five members of YOUR ADVISORY BOARD now give voice to a new “Kotoba no Sukima.”
To commemorate the release, comments have also arrived from Junichi Soga and the five members of YOUR ADVISORY BOARD as they embark on this new chapter together.
YOUR ADVISORY BOARD will hold its new-lineup debut one-man live show, “TAKING SHAPE,” at Shinjuku MARZ on September 8. Tickets are currently on sale.
The group will also perform in Malaysia that same weekend, followed by “YOUR ADVISORY BOARD Presents ‘KATACHI COLLECTIVE Vol.2’” at Shibuya WOMB LIVE on October 10, 2026. A lineup of unique acts selected by YOUR ADVISORY BOARD has already been confirmed, with further details to be announced soon.
A new chapter for YOUR ADVISORY BOARD begins with “Kotoba no Sukima.” Stay tuned for what comes next from the five-member group.

“YOUR ADVISORY BOARD is restarting with our cover of Tornado Tatsumaki’s ‘Kotoba no Sukima’!
When I first heard the recording we made, I was so moved that I got goosebumps. It had become such a distinctly YOUR ADVISORY BOARD sound.
This song is filled with so many emotions that are difficult to express in words. Through this song, I want to deliver those feelings that cannot easily be put into words.
Thinking that the five of us are singing this song together and that this is where the new YOUR ADVISORY BOARD begins makes me incredibly excited.
I hope this song reaches the hearts of as many people as possible!”

It made me incredibly excited about the future of YOUR ADVISORY BOARD and filled me with anticipation.
For me, this is my first song as YOUR ADVISORY BOARD. For the group, it is the song that marks the beginning of a new chapter.
I’m so excited to deliver this song, carrying all of these feelings, as YOUR ADVISORY BOARD.
